During a routine patrol in the Charleston area on March 18th, 2024, around 7:28 pm, Deputy Z. Smith identified a suspect, Daniel Crofton (46), attempting to disguise his identity while leaving the Davey Jones Locker Market. Recognizing Mr. Crofton from prior interactions, Deputy Smith verified his identity and confirmed with Dispatch that there were multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Mr. Crofton was apprehended without incident at the junction of Cape Arago Highway and Kuper Road. He was taken into custody and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked on the mentioned outstanding warrants.
