On January 2nd, 2024, around 12:00 pm, Deputy B. Freerksen was conducting a follow-up interview at a residence on Barview Road in Coos Bay for an underage drinking party that took place the day prior. During this interview, Deputy Freerksen learned that the mother, Trina Velasquez-Ojeda (37), had an active warrant for her arrest out of Douglas County. Trina was cited for providing liquor to a minor, a violation under Oregon Law, and was arrested for the Douglas County Warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail. Trina remains in custody pending transport to Douglas County.
