UO release – EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team held its position at No. 6 in the second edition of the College Football Playoff rankings revealed on Tuesday night on ESPN. The Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Pac-12) remain the nation’s highest-ranked one-loss team, and are one of five Pac-12 teams in the top 25. Oregon and No. 5 Washington represent the Pac-12 in the top 10, followed by No. 12 Oregon State, No. 18 Utah and No. 21 Arizona. Oregon has now appeared in the CFP rankings 36 times since it began in 2014, when UO went on to play in the inaugural CFP national championship game. This is the Ducks’ 21st top-10 CFP ranking. Following a dominant 63-19 win over California last week, the Ducks are home once again this week to host USC on Saturday (7:30 p.m., FOX) in Autzen Stadium. Oregon will travel to Arizona State next week (Nov. 18) before closing the regular season at home against No. 12 Oregon State on Nov. 24.
