On Friday, November 17th, the Coos Bay Public Library, in partnership with library volunteer Dennis Dater, will co-host a new series to understand and develop skills around new technology. These programs are FREE and are open to everyone. Starting at 2:00 PM, in the library’s Myrtlewood Room, Dennis will conduct a workshop on digital safety and navigating the Internet safely and responsibly. Dennis will guide participants in identifying email and text message scams, and how to manage your passwords, among other important safety tips. Each month we will offer more FREE talks, demonstrations and drop-in computer labs aimed at making sense of emerging technology and how to use your personal devices with fewer headaches. You can visit the Coos Bay Public Library at 525 Anderson Ave in Coos Bay. Find out about other great library programs by visiting https://www.coosbaylibrary.org/ events/month.
