Eastep (30). A report of a suspicious man and woman trespassing onto several properties resulted in the arrest of a man with an outstanding warrant. On December 27th, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 report of a suspicious man and woman entering properties near Libby Lane and Rice Road. The woman was reported to be pushing a wheelbarrow, and both subjects were reported to have taken items not belonging to them. Sgt. A. Slater responded to the location and located both subjects at a residence on Libby Lane near Noah Road. Both subjects were identified, and the man initially gave law enforcement a false name. The man was eventually identified as Andrew W. Eastep (30) of Coos Bay. Mr. Eastep had a valid warrant for arrest from the Parole Board in Salem. The warrant was confirmed, and Mr. Eastep was placed under arrest. An investigation into the original trespass and theft call is ongoing. Andrew W. Eastep (30) was transported to the Coos County Jail on an outstanding warrant, where he was booked and remains in custody.
