Make Your Healthy Activities Count! Sign Up for Coos County Odyssey 2024 – Coos County Odyssey 2024 is a virtual fitness challenge that ‘virtually’ tracks you as your earned miles take you 229 miles through Coos County. Each time you complete an exercise activity such as walking, running, biking, swimming, yoga, dance, paddling, golf, and more, you will advance along the route map, starting on January 1 (virtually)* at Sunset Bay, and ending at Coos Health & Wellness by the April 15. *Virtually means you can exercise anywhere. You needn’t be in Sunset Bay, and, of course, you can record any type of exercise. Sign up for family and friends as a last minute holiday gift. It will help them start the new year with activities that will encourage good health. Go to our website to sign up for Coos County Odyssey 2024. Proceeds benefit the Nurses’ Purse Fund. The Nurses’ Purse is a discretionary fund which can be accessed by public health nurses at Coos Health & Wellness to help families in need with essentials such as food, winter clothing, infant care, and payment of medical bills for the uninsured. The relatively small assistance from this fund can help families overcome what seem to be insurmountable obstacles to their health and wellbeing. When you sign up, join the South Coast Striders team (or form your own team).
