A couple of earthquakes shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Monday, Oct. 16. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9-magnitude quake was located west to northwest of Humboldt Hill, CA, and a 3.0-magnitude was located east of Petrolia, CA, both near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
