Seismic activity along the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast switched from the northern end to the southern end on Tuesday, July 9. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded west to southwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
