Both Marshfield and North Bend picked up District 4 Volleyball League wins Monday night at home. The top-ranked Lady Pirates dispatched Cottage Grove 3-0, same score for North Bend over visiting Junction City. Marshfield (2-0, 12-2) will next host the Battle at the Bay on Saturday with visiting North Eugene, Thurston and Cascade. North Bend (1-1, 7-2) will play at Cottage Grove on Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. In other prep matches Tuesday, 1A – Myrtle Pt. at Umpqua Valley Christian, 6p; North Douglas at Powers, 6p. In 2A – Illinois Valley at Gold Beach; Reedsport at Bandon, both at 6 p. In 3A – Brookings-Harbor at Sutherlin; Coquille at Cascade Christian, both at 6p.
