In prep girls’ soccer Thursday, Creswell beat visiting Siuslaw 4-0, and Brookings-Harbor won at Coquille/Myrtle Pt. 3-0. On Saturday, Crook Co. visits North Bend’s girls for a 1 p.m. match, while the boys play the Cowboys at 3 p.m. both at Vic Adams Field. Coquille/Myrtle Pt. goes to Central Linn.

Marshfield’s volleyball team avenged its only loss of the season against 5A Crater at Central Point Thursday. The Lady Pirates won 3-0 over the Comets. Marshfield (8-1) heads to the Cascade Tournament Saturday at Turner. North Bend beat visiting Coquille 3-0. The Bulldogs (5-0) also head to the Cascade Tourney on Saturday. The Red Devils (7-1) host Rogue River on Tuesday, Sept. 12th. In the 3A – Coquille beat Reedsport 3-0 at NBHS. The Brave (1-2) host Elkton Saturday, noon. In 1A, Myrtle Pt. beat visiting Pacific 3-0. The Bobcats (5-1) host Elkton on Tuesday. The Pirates (0-4) host Yoncalla, Tuesday at Port Orford.

North Bend hosts Willamette in a non-league prep football game at Vic Adams Field Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. At Pete Susick Stadium at Coos Bay, Marshfield will host Cascade. Kickoff at 7 p.m. 3A – Coquille at Phoenix. Siuslaw at Kennedy. Brookings-Harbor at Lakeview (Sat.). 2A – Reedsport at Waldport, and Toledo at Bandon/Pacific. Nestucca at Gold Beach (Sat.) 1A8 – Myrtle Pt. at Cove (Sat.). 1A6 – North Lake at Powers (Sat.)
