North Bend beat visiting Cottage Grove 3-2 in a 4A District 4 Volleyball League match Monday. The Bulldogs (4-3, 13-4) are scheduled to play in the Marshfield Tournament Saturday. In 3A, Siuslaw lost at Creswell 3-0. In 2A, Gold Beach lost at Waldport 3-0. In 1A, Myrtle Pt. won at Glendale 3-0, and visiting Elkton won at Pacific 3-1. On the schedule for Tuesday: Powers is at New Hope Christian; Oakland at Bandon & Reedsport at Illinois Valley; Brookings-Harbor at North Valley, and Douglas at Coquille. Most all start at 6 p.m.

In prep soccer Monday, Marshfield’s girls fell at Cottage Grove 3-0. The Lady Pirates (0-5-1, 1-10-1) host Marist Catholic on Monday, Oct. 16. In boys’ soccer, Marshfield lost at Cottage Grove 3-0. The Pirates (3-3, 4-7-1) host Marist Catholic on Monday, Oct. 16.
