Myrtle Point and Powers girls were eliminated from the OSAA 1A basketball playoffs with losses Wednesday. The Bobcats lost at Union 44-36, and the Cruisers fell at North Clackamas Christian 48-44.

The OSAA State Wrestling Championships first day gets underway today, Thursday, at Portland’s Veterans’ Memorial Coliseum. Weigh-ins for the 4A/3A/2A/1A boys and girls begin at 10:30 a.m. and first round wrestling at noon. You can follow the results at www.osaa.org.
