NBPD release – Date: 04/11/2024, Case number: N20241173. On April 11, 2024, at approximately 1314 hours, the North Bend Police Department (NBPD) was involved in the pursuit of a motor vehicle in downtown North Bend. The vehicle, described as a gray Dodge Charger, was initially reported as a driving complaint and involved in a hit-and-run vehicle accident north of the North Bend city limits. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Kelee Joan Gatliff, DOB: 01-10-1965, of Coos Bay, was stopped and taken into custody. An additional hit-and-run accident caused by Ms. Gatliff was discovered during the investigation. Ms. Gatliff was transported to the Coos County Jail and booked on charges of Hit-and-Run Accident, Reckless Driving, Attempt to Elude, and DUII. The North Bend Police Department was assisted by the Oregon State Police (OSP), Coquille Indian Tribal Police, and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indian Police Department.
