OSU & UO Football Bowl Games, Dec. 29

OSU fb
What’s left of the Oregon State football team is in El Paso, TX to play Notre Dame Friday, Dec. 29, in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. The game will be televised at 11 a.m. on CBS. Both teams are suffering from losses to the transfer portal at the end of the regular season. On top of that, the Beavers also lost their head coach to Michigan State as well as some of his assistants. Notre Dame also lost players to the transfer portal, but not their head coach. There is a Bay Area connection to OSU’s team at the Sun Bowl. When the Beavers are on defense, #82 is Cory Stover, a former Marshfield grad, and if he gets on the field, the No. 2 quarterback for OSU is former Marshfield player Dom Montiel. He wears No. 15.
