It’s time to go Bowling for the Oregon State Beavers and the Oregon Ducks in collegiate football. Oregon State is up first on Friday, Dec. 29, 11 a.m., El Paso, TX, OSU (8-4) plays Notre Dame (9-3) in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl on CBS. Notes from OSU: Oregon State is making its 20th all-time bowl appearance, going 12-7 in its previous 19. The Beavers are meeting the Fighting Irish for the third time, following victories in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl and 2004 Insight Bowl. Oregon (11-2) has a New Year’s Day game with Liberty University (13-0) January 1st, 10 a.m. from Glendale, AZ at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl televised on ESPN. The two teams have not met before.
