OSAA State Track MHS & NBHS, May 20

Both Marshfield boys and North Bend’s girls took second place trophies at the 2024 OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field, Eugene, Saturday. The Pirates finished second to Crook Co. (Prineville) which tallied 96-points to Marshfield’s 46. Pendleton was third with 45. North Bend tied for seventh with 30-points. North Bend’s girls tied Cascade for second place, both scoring 51-points. Philomath won with 74. Individually for the Bulldog girls: Javelin: Drew Hood, 3rd, 121-05; Triple Jump: Lauren Efraimson, 4th, 34-11.25; Drew Hood, 7th, 33-06.75; 3000: Ellie Massey, 2nd, 10:34.58; 100H: Drew Hood, 3rd, 16.18; 4X400R: (E. Slade, E. Massey, E. Jensen. L. Efraimson) 3rd, 4:10.18. Pole Vault: Abby Woodruff, 1st, 10:08.25; Roxy Day, 2nd, 10:02.75. Individually for the Pirate girls: Discus: Daphne Scriven, 3rd, 112-08. Individually for the Pirate boys: Pole Vault: John Parks, 1st, 14-09.50; Danner Wilson, 2nd, 14-6.75; 400: Bodey Lutes, 1st, 47.97; Quinton Kloster, 7th, 51.77; 200: Bodey Lutes, 3rd, 21.81; 4X400R: (J. Herbert, Q. Kloster, C. Wyatt, B. Lutes) 1st, 3:24.69. Individually North Bend boys: 100: Jason Padgett, 1st, 10.82; 200: Jason Padgett, 1st, 21.50; 4X400R (A. Efraimson, L. Takenaka-Gaul, S. Mickelson, J. Padgett) 8th, 3:34.40; High Jump: Miles Baxter, 4th, 6-02.75; Javelin: Wyatt Smith, 5th, 160-05.
