North Bound Commercial Air Traffic Not Likely in 2024, Feb. 5

Despite a surge in air passengers in 2023 across the nation and locally at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, officials at the North Bend flight facility reportedly state northbound flights from the Bay Area to Portland are still on hold. According to the airport’s newsletter, talks have been ongoing with Alaska Air and other carriers; however, “nothing is anticipated until 2025 or later.” The airport still offers daily flights to San Francisco, and in season, flights to Denver, CO.
