City of North Bend release – North Bend Police Department wants to remind everyone to buckle up for our upcoming “Click It or Ticket” high-visibility enforcement campaign. Starting Monday, January 29th, until Sunday, February 11th, 2024, law enforcement agencies across Oregon will be out in force, thanks to federal funding. Their mission? To enforce and educate the public on safety belt and child seat laws, including the 2017 law that enhances safety for children under two. Did you know? In 2021, ODOT crash data revealed that not using safety belts or child restraints contributed to 32% of the 377 motor vehicle occupant fatalities. Stay informed about Oregon child safety seat requirements. This vital enforcement effort is supported by grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Oregon Department of Transportation. Let’s all do our part to ensure safer roads!
