Former Marshfield player and football coach Josh Line, who recently left Sheldon HS in Eugene after seven successful seasons (55-19) including two 6A runners-up, to spend more time watching his daughter play her senior season of volleyball, has jumped back into the coaching circle by agreeing to be the next head football coach at Willamette HS in west Eugene. Line replaces former Churchill star Kevin Leonard who resigned from the Wolverines following an 0-9 season. Bill Wagner, who coached state basketball champions in both boys (No. Eugene) and girls (Springfield), is the second-year athletic director at Willamette. He reportedly will work will Line on his schedule to help him watch his daughter. Line was 23-15 with the Pirates from 2013 to 2016.
