Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board meets in Tillamook, Sept. 20

ODFW release – SALEM, Ore. — ODFW’s Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board will meet in person at the ODFW Trask Fish Hatchery in Tillamook (15020 Chance Rd) on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and tour projects in the area on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Wednesday meeting will occur in person and via Teams. Members of the public may attend the meeting in person or virtually. The agenda, login information, and meeting materials are available online at https://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/RE/board schedule.asp The Thursday tour will meet at the Brad Dawson Tidewater Access Park at 8:15 a.m.; members of the public can join but need to provide their own transportation and lunch. Created by the Oregon Legislature in 1989, the Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The program’s seven-member citizen board reviews fish restoration and enhancement project proposals and makes funding recommendations to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
