A necropsy team from the Seaside Aquarium began examination of a Fin Whale Tuesday that washed ashore at Sunset Bay State Park, Feb. 12. The Fin Whale is the second largest whale in the World, following Blue Whales, and they are protected by law. The team hopes to determine what happened to the Whale leading to its stranding on the beach. Beachgoers are asked to stay at least 110-yards away from the carcass.
