EUGENE, Ore. — Quarterback Bo Nix has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Oregon’s 38-30 comeback win at Texas Tech, the conference announced on Monday. Nix completed 32-of-44 passes for 359 yards and two touchdowns in Lubbock, and he led the Ducks with 46 rushing yards while converting on third down with his legs four times. Nix’s 32 completions are tied for the seventh-most in UO single-game history, and he surpassed 300 passing yards for the eighth time in his career. Nix was especially efficient in the fourth quarter, going 8-for-9 for 68 yards while leading Oregon to a touchdown and a pair of field goals. The Ducks scored 20 fourth-quarter points to erase a 27-18 deficit and leave Lubbock with a victory. This is the fourth career Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award for Nix, who last season became just the third player in league history to earn the honor three weeks in a row. Through two games in 2022, Nix is No. 7 in the FBS with 323.0 passing yards per game and tied for No. 8 with a 77.5 completion percentage (55-of-71). He opened the season by going 23-of-27 for 287 yards and three touchdowns against Portland State, with his 85.2 completion percentage ranking second in Oregon single-game history. The No. 13 Ducks (2-0) will host Hawai’i (1-2) this Saturday at 5 p.m. PT in Autzen Stadium (Pac-12 Network) before hosting No. 18 Colorado (2-0) next Saturday, Sept. 23, at 12:30 p.m. (ABC) to open Pac-12 play.
