CBPD release – The Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) continues to search for a missing elderly Coos Bay man. The CBPD is still searching for 88-year-old Edward Warren Frederickson, also known as “Ed,” who was reported missing on May 27, 2024. On May 28, 2024, Mr. Frederickson’s family found his vehicle parked unoccupied near 200 Ross St. in Coos Bay. After reviewing video surveillance footage in the area, investigators found that on May 25, 2024, around 6:00 a.m., Mr. Frederickson parked his vehicle and walked away alone on foot. Mr. Frederickson may have walked northeast along the shoreline. This is the last confirmed sighting of Mr. Frederickson. Mr. Frederickson is described as a white male who is 5’10” and weighs 160 pounds. He has blue eyes and gray hair. Updated clothing description: dark-colored long-sleeve collared jacket, dark gray pants with white stains on both legs, black shoes, black gloves, a black beanie hat, glasses, and carrying a small plastic water bottle. The CBPD requests that anyone with information or video surveillance related to the disappearance of Mr. Frederickson call 541-269-8911, Ext. 1, or 541-267-6666 to Coos Stop Crime.
