Warrant Arrest, McCullough Bridge
CCSO release – Date / Time: November 13th, 2023 around 7:59 am; Case Number(s): 202300033036; Classification: Warrant Arrest; Location: McCullough Bridge, North Bend; Suspect(s): Robin Shook (64); Disorderly 64-year-old Male Arrested for Active Warrant after Giving Deputy ‘The Bird’. On November 13th, 2023, at around 7:59 am, two concerned motorists stopped to speak with Deputy Z. Smith, who was parked at the south end of the McCullough Bridge. Deputy Smith was told about an older male on the bridge yelling at traffic. Deputy Smith located the male halfway across the bridge. Deputy Smith recognized the male as Robin Shook (64) after Mr. Shook waved his middle finger at him. Coos County Dispatch informed Deputy Smith that Mr. Shook had an active Coos County Warrant for his arrest. Deputy Smith contacted Mr. Shook and placed him in custody for the warrant. Mr. Shook was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked. Thank you to the motorists who informed Deputy Smith about Mr. Shook and his poor behavior, which resulted in the Warrant Arrest.
Domestic Assault
CCSO release – Date/Time: November 13th, 2023, around 7:46 am; Case #: 202300033029; Classification: Domestic Violence; Location: W. Dove Ln, North Bend; Suspect(s): Letitia Lovell (47); Summary: Coos County Woman Arrested for Domestic Assault. On November 13th, 2023, around 7:46 am, Coos County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting that Letitia Lovell (47) had choked, bit, and hit the victim at a residence on W. Dove Ln in North Bend. Deputy K. Mong promptly responded. During his investigation, Deputy Mong learned that this incident was the result of an ongoing dispute throughout the morning which ultimately resulted in the victim being bit twice, choked, and hit which caused visible injury. Letitia was no longer at the residence as she had left for work after committing the Assault. Deputies Mong and Z. Smith responded to Letitia’s place of employment in North Bend. Ultimately, Letitia was placed under arrest and transported to the Coos County Jail for the crimes of Assault in the 4th Degree-Domestic Violence and Felony Strangulation-Domestic Violence. Letitia is being held in custody without bail, pending her initial court appearance.
DUII East Bay Rd.
CCSO release – Date/Time: November 13th, 2023, around Midnight; Case #: 202300033022; Classification: DUII Accident; Location: East Bay Rd and Golf Course Ln; Suspect(s): Kaleyha Lowe (22); Summary: Accident Investigation Leads to Woman’s Arrest for Driving under the Influence. On November 13th, 2023, around Midnight, Coos County Dispatch received a 911 call for an explosion on East Bay Rd and Golf Course Ln, in North Bend. It was reported that a vehicle went off the roadway and hit a power pole, which caused the explosion. Deputy Freerksen promptly responded. Upon his arrival, Deputy Freerksen confirmed that a gray Chrysler 300 had hit a power pole and that the driver, Kaleyha Lowe (22), was out of the vehicle and uninjured along with her (2) passengers. During Deputy Freerksen’s investigation into the accident, he observed Kaleyha showing signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Kaleyha agreed to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. After completing his investigation, Deputy Freerksen placed Kaleyha under arrest for Driving under the Influence, Reckless Driving, and (2) counts of Reckless Endangerment. Kaleyha was released to the care of a sober adult with a Criminal Citation requiring her appearance in the Coos County Circuit Court.
