Burglary North Ten Mile Lake
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 12th, 2024, around 8:00 pm; Case #: 202400010912; Classification: Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Out of County Warrant; Location: North Ten Mile Lake; Suspect(s): Kile Elder (28). Summary: Kile Elder Arrested for Multiple Crimes Including Burglary and Theft in Coos County. On May 11th, 2024, Sergeant J. Clayburn engaged with a burglary victim from an incident on April 24th at North Ten Mile Lake, collecting initial details. Deputy R. Baker obtained further information and game camera images from the victim the following day, revealing Kile Elder (28) as the suspect with his vehicle. The property had been forcibly entered by cutting through two gates and the residence’s side with a Sawzall, leading to the theft of various items. Deputy Baker discovered Elder owned a property in Douglas County. Although Elder was absent, a Douglas County Deputy verified his identity from the game camera images, and stolen goods were found on-site. Probable Cause for Elder’s arrest was issued by Deputy Baker, who promptly notified law enforcement agencies of the search for Elder. Later that evening, around 8:00 pm, the North Bend Police Department informed Deputy Baker of Elder’s potential location in response to the Probable Cause. Sergeant Clayburn proceeded to a Hamilton Avenue address in North Bend, where he apprehended Elder and recovered additional stolen property. Elder was arrested for a series of serious charges, including first-degree burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and an outstanding Lane County warrant. Subsequently, Elder was processed and incarcerated at the Coos County Jail on the stated charges. A big thank you to all the agencies that assisted in locating Elder.

Warrant Arrest, Charleston
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 15th, 2024, around 1:30 pm; Case #: 202400011228; Classification: Warrant Arrest; Location: Seaport RV Park, Charleston; Suspect(s): Norman Kohl (61); Summary: Coos County Male Arrested on Felony Warrant During Routine Patrol. On May 15th, 2024, around 1:30 pm, Deputy H. Francis was on routine patrol in Charleston when she observed a male, Norman Kohl (61), in the Seaport RV Park. Deputy Francis believed that Kohl had an active warrant for his arrest. Coos County Dispatch confirmed that Kohl had an active Felony warrant for his arrest, specifically for Theft in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass. Kohl was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County Jal, where he was booked, processed, and lodged.

Criminal Trespass
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 18th, 2024, around 3:25 pm; Case #: 202400011500; Classification: Criminal Trespass; Location: Midway RV Park; Suspect(s): Victoria Ramsey (37); Summary: Victoria Ramsey Arrested for Repeated Trespassing at Midway RV Park. On the afternoon of May 18th, 2024, Coos County Dispatch was alerted to a conflict involving a man and woman at Midway RV Park in Coos Bay, with Sergeant J. Boswell and Deputy S. Starr dispatched at approximately 3:25 pm for investigation. They discovered upon arrival that Victoria Ramsey (37), had vacated the premises by car. It was also confirmed that Ms. Ramsey had been previously barred from the property with instructions not to return. At 3:58 pm, a new report came in that Ms. Ramsey had re-entered the property. Deputy Starr responded, clarified her questions about the trespass notice, and reiterated that she must not return or face arrest. Subsequently, at 4:21 pm, another call reported Ms. Ramsey’s return. Deputy Starr, finding her at the property’s gate, arrested her for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Following the arrest, Ms. Ramsey was taken to the Coos County Jail for booking and processing.
