CCSO release – Date / Time: June 6th 2024; Case Number(s): 2024-00012434; Classification: Violation of Restraining Order; Location: Coos County; Suspect(s): Skeels, Christopher (37); Coos County Male arrested on “644” counts of violating a restraining order. In early June 2024, Deputy Z. Smith was dispatched to investigate a possible violation of a restraining order. Deputy Smith investigated the case, which led him to identify the suspect, Christopher Skeels (37). On June 6th, 2024, at 4:12 p.m., Deputies Smith & Mong located and arrested Christopher Skeels and arrested him. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Skeels was charged with 644 counts of Violation of a Restraining Order. Mr. Skeels was transported to the Coos County Jail on numerous charges, where he was booked and lodged.

Violation of Stalking Order
CCO release – Date / Time: June 12th, 2024, 9:30 a.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00013339; Classification: Violation of a Stalking Protection Order x2; Location: Coos County; Suspect(s): Ashley M. Burton (35); Myrtle Point female arrested on two counts of violating a stalking protection order. On June 8th, 2024, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual violating a stalking protection order. Deputies investigated the case, leading them to the suspect, Ashley M. Burton (35), from Myrtle Point. A search warrant was applied for and granted, resulting in Mrs. Burton’s arrest at her residence in the Bridge area. Mrs. Burton was charged with violation of a stalking protection order x2. Mrs. Burton was transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and remains in custody.
