CBPD release – The Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) arrested a Port Orford man on a nationwide extraditable warrant, charging Failure to Appear on charges of First Degree Online Sexual Corruption of a Child. On April 3, 2024, around 7:24 p.m., the CBPD received a tip on the whereabouts of 68-year-old Robert Clifford of Port Orford. Mr. Clifford had an active arrest warrant out of the Eugene Police Department, which was extraditable nationwide, charging Failure to Appear on charges of First Degree Online Sexual Corruption of a Child. Officers responded on the tip to Fred Meyer, 1020 S. 1st Street in Coos Bay, and arrested Mr. Clifford without incident. Mr. Clifford was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was lodged and remains in custody.
