South Coos, the Nooks, American Legion baseball team in Coos Bay has a doubleheader today against the “Oles”. Chilly Peck is with the team, “We played Roseburg Pepsi last Saturday, It was our opening games, we dropped both games. 1st game went 9 innings and lost 3-4, had the tying run at 3rd and winning run at 2nd, but lined out to end the game. the second game we lost 14-0, rough game for pitchers as they struggled to find the strike zone and we played a lot of the younger players. Overall we are a pretty young team, as we have 6 incoming freshman and only 3 incoming seniors and a mix of sophomores and juniors. Mostly Marshfield players, 3 from Bandon.
