School resumes at North Bend High School, Monday, Feb. 26, although grief counselors remain available to the student body following the loss of a senior Thursday in a single-vehicle accident near the high school’s east entrance off Pony Creek Road at Crowell Lane. Crash investigators ask the school to cancel classes to avoid traffic problems while the intersection was closed during their investigation. According to reports, 18-year old Shaun Hensey was the sole occupant in the vehicle and died in the crash. According to the school’s FaceBook page, “On the evening of February 22nd the North Bend school community lost one of our high school students in a single car accident at the corner of Crowell Lane and Pony Creek Road. Shaun Hensey, an 18 year old student from North Bend High School, was the lone occupant in his vehicle and he was found deceased.
