Burglary, Charleston
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 22nd, 2024, 8:16 a.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00009329; Classification: Burglary II, Criminal Mischief II, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm x2, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon x3, Unlawful Possession of Body Armor; Location: Charleston Boat Basin; Suspect(s): Jordan J. Duvall (31). Charleston male arrested on numerous charges after a burglary, K9 track, and exceptional investigation by deputies. On April 22nd, 2024, at 8:16 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Seven Devils Road near the Charleston Boat Basin. The homeowners could give a suspect identification from security cameras on the property. K9 Poe responded to the location and tracked the suspect, which provided Deputies with additional evidence, ultimately aiding in the suspect’s arrest. Sgt. S. Moore along with Deputy Z. Smith pieced together evidence received from the K9 team, surveillance cameras and nearby business which led them to contacting Jordan J. Duvall (31) at Seaport R.V. Park. During the investigation, Deputies located two firearms, several restricted weapons, and body armor. As a result, Jordan J. Duvall (31) was arrested on the charges of Burglary II, Crim Mischief II, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm x2, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon x3, and Possession of Body Armor. Duvall was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.
Assault, Lakeside
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 23rd 2024 8:05 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00009473; Classification: Assault II; Location: Seaport R.V. Park, Lakeside; Suspect(s): Anthony J. Carey (40). Lakeside male arrested on the charge of Assault II after using a knife during an argument. On April 23rd, 2024, at about 6:09 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a stabbing at the Seaport R.V. Park located at 72363 Hwy 101, Lakeside, Oregon. Dispatch further advised the disturbance was between family members. Sgt. J. Boswell, Deputy A. Churchill, an Oregon State Police Trooper, and medical personnel responded to the scene. The victim was tended to for a knife wound to the hand. The suspect, Anthony J. Carey (40), was located and arrested on the charge of Assault II. Carey was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.
DUII, Bunker Hill
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 23rd, 2024, 5:46 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00009470; Classification: DUII; Location: Newport Lane / Edwards Road; Suspect(s): Rhonda S. Hibben-Ginther (63). Female arrested on the charge of DUII as a result of a traffic stop in Bunkerhill. On April 23rd, 2024, at 5:46 p.m., Deputy B. Freerksen was conducting routine patrol of the Bunkerhill area. While in the area, Deputy Freerksen observed a white Toyota sedan swerving within its lane, causing it to fail to maintain a single lane of travel and nearly cause a traffic crash. For these reasons, Deputy Freerksen initiated a traffic stop on the white Toyota sedan. The driver, Rhonda Hibben-Ginther (63), was stopped at the intersection of Newport Ln and Edwards Road. Upon interaction, Deputy Freerksen noted signs of impairment when contacting Hibbens-Ginther. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Hibben-Ginther on the charge of DUII. Hibben was transported to the Coos Bay Police Department for additional testing. Hibbens-Ginther was later issued a criminal citation for DUII and released to the custody of a sober adult.
DUII, Fairview Rd.
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 21st, 2024, at 8:30 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00009306; Classification: DUII; Location: Fairview Road milepost 11; Suspect(s): Tony Florez (20). Coquille male arrested on the charge of DUII after crash on Fairview Road at milepost 11. On April 21st at 8:30 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a single-vehicle crash on Fairview Road near milepost 11. Fairview Fire, Coquille Ambulance, and Sgt. Boswell from the Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. The driver was identified as Tony Florez (20) of Coquille. He had some minor scratches but was otherwise uninjured. During an investigation, Sgt. Boswell had Mr. Florez perform the standardized field sobriety tests and later arrested him on the charge of DUII. Tony Florez (20) was transported to the Coos County Jail for additional testing. Florez was issued a citation for DUII and released to a sober adult.
