A couple of earthquakes were recorded at the Southern End of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Saturday, Dec. 16. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded west of Petrolia, CA and a 2.5-magnitude southwest of Ferndale, CA, both in the area of Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, Dec. 17, a 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded west to southwest of Crescent City, CA near the Oregon Border.
