The Annual NW Natural Gas Golden Cart Grocery Contest takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 8th, at the Coos Bay McKay’s Market on So. 7th St. from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. This year’s contestants: Fire Chief Jim Brown from North Bend Fire Department vs. Fire Chief Mark Anderson from Coos Bay Fire Department. Coos Bay’s held the Golden Cart title for 2 years straight. Can Chief Jim Brown break the streak? 90 seconds. 2 Chiefs. 1 winner. Watch them race to fill their carts with the most food.
