Contempt of Court
CCSO release – Date / Time: October 29th at 3:15 a.m.; Case Number(s): 2023-00031700; Classification: Contempt of Court / Violation of Release Agreement; Location: North Bay Road, North Bend, OR; Suspect(s): Gregory J. Stump (23). North Bend man arrested for violation of the conditions of a release agreement. On October 29th, 2023, at 3:15 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a disturbance in progress at a residence on North Bay Road just north of North Bend. Deputies A. Burgo and J. Lee responded to the location. During an investigation, the suspect was identified as Gregory J. Stump (23). The disturbance was found to be verbal. However, it was learned Mr. Stump was violating a previous release agreement issued by the courts being at the property. Gregory J. Stump was arrested on Contempt of Court / Violation of Release Agreement. Mr. Stump was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.

Warrant Service, Lakeside
CCSO release – Date / Time: October 29th, 2023 at 11:10 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2023-00031768; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Lakeside; Suspect(s): Patrick Crockett (34). Sheriff’s Office – K9 Poe tracks and locates a wanted man in Lakeside. On October 29th, 2023, at 11:10 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center took a report of a disturbance in progress in the Lakeside area. While en-route deputies were advised the suspect, Patrick Crockett (34), had several felony warrants outstanding for his arrest. Sgt. Boswell and Deputy Freerksen responded to the area where they located Patrick Crockett (34), walking away from where the altercation occurred. Deputy Freerksen attempted to contact Mr. Crockett as he had several outstanding warrants for his arrest, and Mr. Crockett subsequently fled from Deputy Freerksen on foot. Sgt. Boswell and Coos County Sheriff’s K9 Poe arrived and conducted a criminal apprehension track for Mr. Crockett. K9 Poe tracked for approximately 200 yards behind buildings, through an alley and tall grass, before locating Mr. Crockett attempting to hide under the side of a building. Mr. Crockett was taken into custody without incident. Patrick Crockett was transported to the Coos County Jail on several outstanding warrants, where he was booked and remains in custody.

No Burial Sites
CCSO release – ••Update••• On October 31, 2023, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office detectives received a tip of two potential burial sites off of Highway 101 near Davis Slough. Upon investigation of the area, two sites of raised ground were located with a wig sticking out of one of them. The area was checked with Cadaver Dogs from Coos County SAR and excavated. We are happy to report nothing suspicious was located. Your Coos County Sheriff’s Office takes tips seriously and makes every effort to investigate them.
