Coquille Tribe release – NORTH BEND – The Coquille Tribal Community Fund grant cycle is open again. The Fund is looking to continue its mission of “providing assistance to organizations that make lasting contributions to the communities we serve.” The Coquille Tribal Community Fund awards grants to organizations in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, and Lane counties. Overall, since being established by the Coquille Tribal Council in 2001, the Fund has distributed over $8.1 million. The Coquille Indian Tribe established its Community Fund to share the proceeds of The Mill Casino-Hotel with organizations that make a clear difference for daily life in the Coos Bay area and throughout southwestern Oregon. Submitted applications must be received by 11:59 P.M. on Nov. 17, 2023. Projects in the following areas will be considered: arts & culture, education, health, public safety, historic preservation, environment, and problem gaming.
