CCSO release – Date / Time: September 4th, 2023, around 2:18 am; Case Number(s): 202300026714; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Andrews Road, Coos Bay; Suspect(s): Clifton D. Walker (31). Report of a man trespassing leads to 31-year-old man’s arrest on local warrant. On September 4th, 2023, around 2:18 am, Coos County Dispatch received a report of a man trespassing at a residence on Andrews Road in Coos Bay. Deputy Z. Smith responded to the area and found that the man, identified as Clifton Walker (31) of Coos Bay, had left the area on foot. Dispatch told Deputy Smith that Mr. Walker had an active warrant for his arrest. Sergeant S. Moore located Mr. Walker at the 7/11 in Bunker Hill around 2:48 am. Deputy Z. Smith responded to the location and placed Mr. Walker in custody. Mr. Walker was transported to the Coos County Jail and booked on the local warrant for Harassment and Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree.

CCSO release – Date / Time: September 4th, 2023, around 10:07 pm; Case Number(s): 202300026759; Classification: Driving While Suspended; Location: South Spring Road, Coos Bay; Suspect(s): James Albrecht (55); Coos County man makes comical move to try and avoid being arrested. On September 4th, 2023, around 10:07 pm, Deputy Z. Smith was patrolling the Barview area of Coos Bay. Deputy Smith observed a pickup truck driver commit a traffic violation, so he stopped the vehicle in a driveway on South Spring Road. While approaching the vehicle, Deputy Smith observed the driver moving rapidly toward the vehicle’s passenger. When he arrived at the driver’s side window, Deputy Smith saw the driver, James Albrecht (55), sitting in his passenger’s lap, trying to change positions with him quickly. Mr. Albrecht looked at Deputy Smith while slowly finishing switching seats and getting situated in the passenger seat. Coos County Dispatch told Deputy Smith that Mr. Albrecht had his driving privileges suspended at the Misdemeanor level. Mr. Albrecht initially insisted that he was not driving the vehicle despite being seen switching spots with his passenger. Ultimately Mr. Albrecht admitted to driving the vehicle and said he attempted to switch seats to avoid going to jail. Deputy Smith took Mr. Albrecht into custody and transported him to the Coos County Jail for Driving While Suspended at the Misdemeanor level. Mr. Albrecht was booked and released from custody after processing.
