The City of Coos Bay is in the process of upgrading the existing sewer Pump Station #6 located at Kruse Avenue and S. 5th Street. The Pump Station was last upgraded in 1991 and needs replacement to accommodate existing infrastructure and future development. The City has contracted with Pacific Excavation Inc. for the construction of this project. It is anticipated that they will break ground as early as September 5th with a construction schedule extending through October, then beginning again in January of 2024 and extending through summer of 2024. Please pardon the dust while these improvements are occurring. Detours will be in place for periodic road closures in the area, and additional small delays may also occur as required throughout the project. Working hours will be from 7AM-5PM Monday through Thursday.
