Smith’s Attention to His Surroundings Led to the Arrest of a Suspended Driver with an Active Warrant in Bunkerhill. On June 9th, 2024, at around 11:24 am, Deputy Z. Smith encountered a silver 2007 Mercedes being driven by John Langley, a 39-year-old Coos County man, in Bunkerhill. Deputy Z. Smith was aware that Langley’s driving privileges were suspended and that there was an active warrant for his arrest. Deputy Z. Smith stopped Langley and the vehicle at the intersection of Newport Lane and Mullen Road. Langley was promptly taken into custody due to the active warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he underwent the booking and lodging process. In addition to the arrest, Langley was issued citations for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.
