Vehicle/Rifle Stolen, Arrest, Kuehn Rd.
CCSO release – Date / Time: July 4th, 5:07 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00015156; Classification: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft I, Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Location: Kuehn Road, Coos Bay; Suspect(s): Gregory J. Kuehne (54); Male arrested after stealing car and rifle from Kuehn Road. On July 4th, 2024, at 5:07 p.m., a resident on Kuehn Road near Coos Bay called the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center to report his vehicle and rifle stolen from his residence. A deputy responded, took the report, and entered the vehicle and weapon as stolen. An attempt to locate (ATL) was sent out county-wide. A short time later, an Oregon State Trooper located the stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, Gregory J. Kuehne (54), was located inside the vehicle and detained by the Trooper. The investigating Deputy responded and recovered the stolen vehicle and rifle inside the vehicle. Mr. Kuehne was subsequently arrested on the charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft I, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Assault, Rock Ck.
CCSO release – Date / Time: July 3rd, 2024, 5:25 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00015048; Classification: Assault II (2 Counts); Location: Rock Creek / Myrtle Creek; Suspect(s): Zackariah M. Snead (30); Myrtle Point male arrested after disturbance reported at a swimming hole near the intersection of Myrtle Creek and Rock Creek Road, near Bridge. On July 3rd, 2024, at 5:25 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a disturbance in progress at a swimming hole on Rock Creek Road near Myrtle Creek Road. A deputy responded and spoke with several subjects at the scene. During the investigation, it was learned the suspect, Zackariah M. Snead (30), pushed a man off a cliff at the location and fled from the scene in a vehicle. Another Deputy and an Officer from the Myrtle Point Police Department attempted to locate the car but did not find it. The man who was pushed off the cliff was transported to the hospital by Myrtle Point Ambulance, and a second victim was identified during the investigation. Probable cause was issued for the arrest of Zackariah M. Snead (30) on two counts of assault in the second degree. On July 5, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received information that Zackariah was at the Subway in Coquille. Deputy J. Gray responded and was able to take Zackariah into custody on the charges from this case. Zackariah M. Snead was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and currently remains in custody.
