Wright (68); S.C.I.N.T. serves a search warrant and seizes over (2) pounds of methamphetamine. Sgt. A. Whittenburg, Deputy B. Davis, and OSP Trooper Jarrell from the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team (S.C.I.N.T.), along with members from the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (D.I.N.T.), conducted an investigation over several months into the possession, distribution, and manufacture of methamphetamine in Coos County. As a result of this investigation, Deputy B. Davis applied for and was granted a search warrant for a residence on Ross Inlet Road in Coos County. During the search warrant, 2.12 lbs. of methamphetamine, one pound of processed marijuana, a firearm, and over $2,000 of U.S. Currency were seized. Donald E. Wright (68) and Crystal Townsend (43) are charged with several crimes stemming from the investigation. S.C.I.N.T. is working diligently to investigate and ensure the prosecution of illicit narcotic traffickers in Coos County and beyond and appreciates the public’s support in this endeavor. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
