South Coast Running Club release – Yes, I am gobbling at you again. The 32nd Annual Turkey Trot Fun Run & Walk will be held again at 9 am on Thanksgiving morning November 23. Come have the first course of the day with neighbors, family and friends and help provide food for our neighbors in need. The entry fee is 2 cans or more of food or non-perishable food to help fight hunger in our community. Let’s get together and see if we can surpass the 530 pounds of canned food contributed by the Turkey Trot in 2022! Choose your distance to run or walk from 1.5 miles to 5 kilometers and join your friends and family for a run or walk around Empire Lakes at John Topits Park off Newmark Avenue in Coos Bay. Start your holiday off right, do something for the community, and get a little exercise before the feast. Enjoy hot cider after. This will be a non-timed event. Join others as we celebrate the things to be thankful for in 2023.
